Apply for a consumer account?
To open a payment account for personal use, you need to fill out a short online application form or download our mobile app and continue with the registration.
The process should take approximately 5 minutes.
After submitting your application you will be placed on a short waiting list. Our team will review the request and may contact you to verify some details or, more likely, will leave a message in your application, guiding you on the information or documentation still needed. The onboarding times depend on the correctness of the uploaded documents. Have a document, an invoice (telephone, energy, other) or proof of your address on hand. The address shown on the invoice must be the same as indicated during registration. Finally, you will be asked to perform a video verification in an environment where you are alone. Therefore, make sure you have a PC or smartphone with a camera available. You will need to position yourself in the center of a shape and move the text 360 °. Apply for a corporate account?
To open a business account, you need to fill out a short online application form.
This should take about 10 minutes.
After submitting your application you will be placed on a short waiting list. Our team will review the request and may contact you to verify some details or, more likely, will leave a message in your application, guiding you about the information or documentation still needed. The timing of onboarding depends on the complexity of your company and the documents you upload. For specific details on the application process, take a look at the articles related to onboarding.
What documents are required for business account?
If you are registering as a company, upload the following documents:
- Copy of the deed of incorporation
- Copy of the Statute (last modification)
- Proof of business address (such as bank statement or lease in the name of the company
- Recent business register excerpt clearly showing business structure including beneficial owners (UBOs)
- UBO declaration form (downloadable here)
If you are registering as a sole proprietorship, please upload the following documents:
- VAT number (if applicable)
- Proof of business registration of the trade name with the tax authorities (if applicable)
- Proof of registration of the company name
- Proof of the existence of the business (eg website / physical store / invoices / contract / certificates / licenses / professional registration)
If you are registering as a partnership (eg LLP / LLC), upload the following documents:
Document of establishment of the partnership to identify partners with a UBO equal to or greater than 25%.
Proof of business address (such as bank statement or lease in the name of the company)
- If the partnership is registered, a recent extract from the business register clearly showing the structure of the company including the Ultimate Beneficial Owners (UBO) (if any)
- List of UBOs on UBO declaration form (downloadable here)
- If no partner owns 25% or more, please provide a document showing who is Managing Partner or who has the power to make decisions on behalf of the partnership
Where is the gipay Business service available?
gipay Business is currently available to companies and sole proprietorships registered and with a physical presence within the European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland.
This includes the following countries and territories: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Guernsey, Ireland, Iceland, Isle of Man, Åland Islands, Italy, Jersey, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Mayotte , Norway, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, the Republic of Cyprus, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
What types of companies do you support?
We support most types of businesses, excluding charities, public sector companies, cooperatives and more. If you don’t know if we can onboard your company, please contact our support via chat.
gipay Business is available for the types of companies listed below:

More frequent reasons for ineligibility
There may be various reasons why it is not possible to open a company account with gipay.
The most common are:
Sector type not supported
Business entity type not supported
Company country not supported
Lack of physical presence
Your company’s status is not Active in the Chamber of Commerce Register
We remind you that various criteria apply to each request and, if your company does not fall into one of these, your account may not be activated.
Do I receive interest on the funds deposited in the gipay Business account?
No, there is currently no interest on funds deposited in the company account. gipay is a fintech payments platform. It guarantees maximum security, speed, transparency at low transaction costs, but does not recognize any interest in the balance of accounts.
What types of accounts do we offer?
Once you opened your business account, you will receive a GBP account with a unique bank code and account number, a EUR account with a unique IBAN and BIC, as well as a USD account with a unique IBAN and BIC.
You will also have the option to deposit, exchange and transfer funds in 30 other currencies, via SWIFT or SEPA.
